For our first baby’s 1st birthday, as new parents, we wanted the perfect birthday party for our little girl. At the time, our daughter was really into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She would jump up and down when the show would start and dance all over when they would sing songs. She would yell in her little one-year-old voice the answer to all the questions Mickey was asking on the show. Of course, we had to have a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday Party!

Birthday Party Entrance sign

We would attempt to recreate the clubhouse the party way. This party was so long ago, long before I started writing about my party planning and crafting. Bear with me; this party was over nine years ago, so the pictures are not the best.

I like to have an entrance that introduces my guests to an idea of what lies before them at the party. To make this adorable sign for the front door entrance, inviting my guests to join the fun inside “Aria’s Clubhouse,” I used unfinished wood signs and small wood letters from Michaels. For the signs, I painted them white with white craft paint. The letters were all painted with craft paint as well, trying to keep in mind the layout so I would have a mix of colors. To attach the letters to the sign, I used E6000 glue. These hung on my daughter’s bedroom door for years after this party, she loved it so much.

I wanted to make sure there were small clubhouse details all over. I printed out the character Toodles, he is a character on the show who pops up wherever Mickey and his pals need help with their adventure. For the party I wanted to bring Toodles into the party the same way. I stuck all these Toodles print outs onto dowels and hid them randomly around the party.

Another cute character on the show are the Handy Helpers! I thought it was fun idea to take the utensils and wrap them in different color napkins and band them with a black cardstock strip. I then cut out all the Mickey hands out and hot glued them. That was the best way to bring that element of the show into the party.

Food table decorated for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party

We kept our menu very simple for this party. A vegetable platter with different dips, Minnie’s bow tie pasta, Goofy’s hot dogs, and a couple of platters of sandwiches.

My wonderful mother took on the task of these beautiful cupcakes, the smash cake and the Mickey themed chocolate cover apples. She attempted to recreate the apples from Magic Kingdom.

I love to put a cute and fuctional favor together for the kids. In this one we decided on the buckets filled with a box of crayons, a Mickey Mouse and Friends coloring book, Mickey Mouse Pez Dispensers and some sweat treats!

I hope you were able to get some ideas from our Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party for your own party.
